Dorky though it may be, the researchers' excitement at the discovery of the world's largest known snake is palpable. It makes this half-documentary, half-creature feature into something occasionally irresistible. A lengthy foray into comparing Burmese pythons in the Everglades to titanoboa is the only genuine misstep.
