029. (23 Jan) Waxwork (1988, Anthony Hickox) 49
Enjoyable, creative horror make-up makes this better than it would be otherwise, but Waxwork is merely atmospheric, not scary. Characters' easy ability to escape from their various horror settings removes a fair amount of suspense. The mayhem of the finale where everyone wildly fights horror villains is delightful.
