This mostly won me over with fake jump scares featuring a feline and a scene-stealing turn by creepy child actor Brady Allen. The fourth Paranormal Activity sufficiently builds on the mythology of the last film while still offering eerie atmosphere. Since they're so cheap to produce, there's no sense in rushing a franchise that could last ad infinitum. It's nothing more nor less than what I hoped for.
