It's more than half an hour before a pitchfork-wielding killer claims the first victim, but the set-up for Home for the Holidays is too enjoyable for that to matter. A young Sally Field, an alcoholic Jessica Walter, and creepy Julie Harris are just a few of the top-notch performers making the most of every moment. They make believable the seriousness of this moody, holiday horror film set on the stormiest Christmas ever. The finale is predictable.
