042. (29 Jan) After Midnight (1989, Jim Wheat & Ken Wheat) 33
Anthology horror doesn't get much more boring than this. Each segment is competently made, but drawn out way longer than necessary. "The Old Dark House" is like watching paint dry. "A Night on the Town" is barely more exciting, even with a violent homeless man and a pack of killer dogs. A sassy Marg Helgenberger makes "All Night Messenger" the high point, but it fizzles out. The wraparound sucks, doomed to repeat its lameness for all time.
