193. (08 Sep) Deadly Eyes (1982, Robert Clouse) 55

As this stars dachshunds dressed as bloodthirsty rats, it's hard not to enjoy Deadly Eyes for its sheer ridiculousness. Robert Clouse clearly knows he's making a B-movie and directs accordingly. This is never scary, per se, but it's also never boring. There's intentional humor in how the rats jump at people and an edge to how they first go after young children before they start picking off the adult ensemble. Clouse gets a sublime performance out of Lisa Langlois as a trampy student pursuing her teacher.
