174. (27 Aug) The Seduction (1982, David Schmoeller) 37
The Seduction is unapologetic trash with the least healthy views of love I've ever seen on film. When Andrew Stevens straddles Morgan Fairchild and photographs her incessantly while she barely tries to fend him off, it's a moment of high camp too good to be true. If the film isn't being ludicrous, it's delightfully oblivious. For instance, Fairchild's stalker tries to call her while he, of all people, should know she's appearing on-air on the 6 o'clock news. There's also a hot tub sex scene that rivals the pool sex from Showgirls as cinema's most outrageous.
