Few people enjoy horror movies confined to a single location more than I do, but ATM's lack of plausibility makes it too phony to be scary. The randomness of the violence is creepy enough, but the characters are so inept in formulating an escape plan it's hard to feel bad for them whenever their situation worsens. As a survival drama, it's clear these people just aren't competent enough to survive. Worse still, the villain's superhuman strength and ridiculous means of being menacing (trying to flood the room the ATM's in) make this all the more absurd.
