Essentially what Shame would be if Michael Fassbender was married in it, Sex, Lies & Obsession is actually more thoughtful than that film. Here Harry Hamlin's sex addiction gets some analysis, even if it's reduced to silly daddy issues and having a sex drive is totally discouraged. There are some very fun moments here like when Hamlin has to take a polygraph to prove to his wife he's not picking up hookers and looking at internet pornography.
