Killer Party is incredibly wacky, going for practically every genre element there is in a brisk 90 minutes. The "killer party" doesn't even start until about an hour in! Two false starts set the disorienting tone, as a character in a music video watches a horror movie in a music video, before we're introduced to the college students the film centers on. It's typical sorority row horror, but then this turns into a murder mystery, then a revenge flick, then a slasher movie, and finally a ghost story featuring demonic possession. This somehow feels relatively focused despite all the tonal changes, which is no easy task. It helps that we follow a small, amiable cast of characters under efficient direction.
